Classroom Expectations

Students are expected to bring the following to EVERY CLASS:

Instrument

Book (Measures of Success for their instrument)

Folder and

Pencil

Students who consistently forget one or all of these items will fall behind. Responsibility is one of the largest components of learning an instrument.

Students are required to practice a total of 60 minutes per week. The easiest way to do this is to practice 10 minutes a day.

This can be achieved when they do their regular homework. It is also acceptable to practice 20 minutes every other day or some other combination. More practice will equal better results.

Students who do not practice rarely make it past the first few pages in the book. Learning an instrument takes time and work. There is no "easy" button or google answer that will magically make them Mozart overnight. It takes hard work and discipline. These are life skills.
